1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your membership with Ilkeston Gym And Fitness Ltd ("we", "us", "our", "the club"). By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Membership Types
We offer the following membership plans:
- 8am to 8pm Monthly Direct Debit – £30 per month, access during staffed opening hours
- Anytime Monthly Direct Debit – £50 per month, 24 hour access
- Non-Direct Debit Month – £35, one month of access paid upfront
- Week Pass – £15, 7 days of access
- Day Pass – £5, single day access between 8am and 8pm
Access levels, pricing, and available membership types may be updated by us from time to time. Any changes to pricing will not affect a payment already collected but may apply to future renewals with reasonable notice.
3. Joining The Gym
To join, you must complete our online sign-up process, including our health questionnaire (ParQ), and provide accurate personal, contact, and payment details. You must be aged 16 or over to join without parental or guardian consent.
You are responsible for keeping us informed of any changes to your health that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
4. Payments
Monthly Direct Debit memberships are collected automatically each month via our payment provider. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment details are kept up to date.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect the outstanding amount. Continued failure to pay may result in your membership being suspended or access being restricted until payment is resolved.
Non-Direct Debit, Week Pass, and Day Pass memberships are paid in full at the time of purchase and are non-recurring.
5. Access To The Gym
24 Hour members access the gym via their issued Paxton card or fob at any time.
8am to 8pm members access the gym via QR code shown in the member app, scanned by staff at the staffed entrance during opening hours.
Access is granted based on an active, paid-up membership. We reserve the right to refuse or suspend access where membership payments are overdue or terms have been breached.
6. Cancellation And Freeze Policy
Please see the separate Cancellation and Freeze Terms document, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
7. Member Conduct
Members are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other members, follow gym rules and signage, and use equipment safely and as intended. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for any member who behaves in a way that endangers themselves, other members, or staff, or who damages gym property.
8. Health And Safety
You confirm that the information provided in your health questionnaire is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You exercise at the gym at your own risk. We recommend consulting a doctor before beginning any new exercise programme if you have any underlying health concerns.
We are not liable for injury arising from misuse of equipment or failure to follow gym guidance, though we remain responsible for maintaining safe premises and properly functioning equipment.
9. Liability
We hold appropriate insurance for the operation of the gym. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to what is reasonably foreseeable and arises from our own negligence. We are not liable for loss of personal belongings while on our premises unless caused by our negligence.
10. Data Protection
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website and in the member app.
11. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where changes materially affect your membership, we will provide reasonable notice before they take effect.
